This is an ecumenical project between the churches in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to provide fresh clean drinking water for the village of Kalalayi in Southern Sudan and the surrounding villages.
Welcome
Welcome to the “In Search of Water” blog site! Here you will see the chronicled events of the project leading up to the team’s departure from the United States and then daily while the team is in Africa. Feel free to comment on the posts as it is a great encouragement to the team and a great way to share in the experience together.

Miriam of Kalalayi
This is Aaron's aunt Miriam. She is 79 years old and takes care of herself completely. She never had children so she is on her own. She makes her own food, collects her own firewood and is 100% self sufficient. It is sad to see but it is part of their culture. At least Aaron allows her to live on his compound as she is safe there.
