This is an ecumenical project between the churches in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to provide fresh clean drinking water for the village of Kalalayi in Southern Sudan and the surrounding villages.
Welcome
Welcome to the “In Search of Water” blog site! Here you will see the chronicled events of the project leading up to the team’s departure from the United States and then daily while the team is in Africa. Feel free to comment on the posts as it is a great encouragement to the team and a great way to share in the experience together.

Map of Kenya
Saturday in Nairobi comes to a close. Tomorrow we will go to a baptist church next to the Mayfield Guest House. We will the go to the Nairobi National Park to see if we can see any wild animals, then a bit of shopping, supper and back to the airport for our 10:30 flight out. It's a full day but one of selfish fun while we wait for our flight. We are looking forward to it!

If I remember correctly, I think Shane was suppose to preach and lead the worship for guys on Sunday? Just kidding Shane...you guys deserve some R&R! Have fun!
I can't think of ANYONE more deserving of some R&R than you guys! Enjoy your day! (and watch your pockets).
Bring on the giraffes and tigers and lions and bears....oh my....so glad you're on the last leg of the journey and that you've survived it thus far, safe and sound...well, safe anyway. I'm so proud to be a part of a group that can see beyond themselves and beyond the radius of Sioux Falls. To God be the praise and the glory for the gifts you've received through your work. And now, enjoy your day off before hitting your full lives back in the States.
We know what it feels like when that plane leaves the runway in Africa....you wouldn't trade the experience for anything,BUT you want to get home so badly you could cry! Breathe a sigh of relief, enjoy a pop...on ice, and take a long, much deserved nap. We continue to pray for safe travel for all of you and can't wait to hear all about it!
I think you kids deserve some "selfish fun"....but, don't you dare miss your flight!!
